Dark and Darker’s Hotfix #113 kicks off a packed end-of-season stretch

IRONMACE tied the update to Season 8's finish, with a Warlord Tournament, a temporary non-ranked Arena window, stronger dungeon rewards, and a few bug fixes before EA Season 9 starts on April 28.

Dark and Darker got Early Access Hotfix #113 on April 16, and IRONMACE used it to set up the end of Season 8 while pointing players toward the next season on April 28.

The update also lays out a busy stretch for Arena players. The Warlord Tournament runs from April 17 to April 19, and after the current Arena season ends on April 19, non-ranked Arena will stay open every day through April 25 with entry gear restrictions removed and no item loss on death. On top of that, dungeon rewards got a boost, including doubled Artifact drop rates in High-Roller runs and improved loot from Golden Chests, Lion’s Head Chests, Treasure Hoards, mid-bosses, bosses, and hunting loot.

IRONMACE also doubled the Adventure Points value of everything in the dungeons for the final stretch of Season 8. For players chasing rank progress, that means the end-of-season push is a little more forgiving than usual. The studio added that starting next season, Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and HVCI will be required for High-Roller and Arena modes, with a popup explaining how to turn them on if a system does not meet the requirements.

If you want more Dark and Darker patch context, our coverage of Hotfix #95-2 covered another small but focused fix from IRONMACE.
