A new Crimson Desert mod gives the game’s map a much more helpful sense of direction. Created by modder dofo7777, Crimson Route adds road-based guidance for quests and custom markers.
After tracking a quest or placing a marker, players can see a calculated route on both the world map and minimap. The mod can also display an optional navigation arrow on screen and show the remaining distance. Each of these elements can be turned on or off independently.
Crimson Route follows the game’s actual roads
Crimson Route does not simply draw a straight line toward the selected destination. It uses Crimson Desert’s road network and navigation data to create routes that account for the terrain and available paths.
Players can choose routing options for regular travel, walking, horseback riding, and small wagons. The system can also account for local paths and destinations that sit away from the main roads.
When the game’s navigation data supports it, the mod can guide players through buildings, doors, stairs, gates, indoor spaces, and different floors. It also compares the player’s height with the destination’s height, which helps prevent routes from pointing toward a road above or below the intended location.
If a destination cannot be reached, Crimson Route does not pretend otherwise. Instead, it ends the route at the nearest connected path that the game can verify.
Players can download Crimson Route from Nexus Mods. The mod should be especially useful for anyone who wants clearer directions without constantly checking the full map.
