Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch is scheduled to arrive on Steam on Nov. 25 as a 15-mission, single-player campaign set during the Allied landings in North Africa. The story follows the 34th Infantry Division through the defense at Kasserine and a final assault on Hill 609, according to Relic’s Steam announcement.
The campaign will move between beachfront landings, stealth operations, defensive actions and large-scale assaults. Completing missions and optional objectives will earn upgrades for the army, while choices between missions let players develop their forces around a preferred playstyle.
Three characters frame the story: Colonel Thomas ‘Tom’ Becker, Major George Russo and Master Sergeant James ‘Jimmy’ Flanagan. Becker is a young division commander, Russo serves as its intelligence officer, and veteran NCO Flanagan offers the enlisted troops a steadying presence. Their perspectives reflect the division’s losses, responsibilities and hard-won lessons as its inexperienced forces develop into a battle-tested army.
The DLC is scheduled to arrive after the November 5 Update 3.0 release, which will also revise the Italian campaign. Operation Torch instead brings a separate story set in North Africa. Relic has not announced the DLC’s price.
