Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Will Add X01 and 2 Warzone Maps on Nov. 6
Multiplayer gets Backstab, Canyon, and a reworked Shoot House, while a separate Warzone roadmap is due Nov. 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 will begin Nov. 6 at 12:00 a.m. ET (9:00 p.m. PT on Nov. 5), bringing DMZ’s X01 Black Site, three Multiplayer maps, and two new maps in Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision’s Season 1 announcement confirms the rollout across all platforms.
Warzone integration had previously been tied to Season 1, and the new schedule sets its arrival date. A separate Warzone roadmap is due Nov. 2, four days before the season begins.

Multiplayer adds maps and modes
Backstab and Canyon will bring new medium-sized 6v6 arenas to the season’s launch, alongside a reworked Shoot House. Backstab’s snow-covered town mixes long street sightlines with close fights inside its buildings. Canyon’s open river route and winding paths sit between towering rock walls, while Shoot House returns in a North Korean setting.
Shipment’s 6v6 remaster was added on Oct. 27, ahead of the season. Possession is scheduled for Oct. 29, followed by the returning Infected mode on Oct. 30. At the Nov. 6 launch, players can also try Grind, Drop Zone, and limited-time Gauntlet 1v1 as part of the Wager Match Event. In Possession, eliminating an opponent sends the attacker to that player’s position and gives them the opponent’s loadout.
Mid-season additions will include Ministry and Overflow, plus other maps that have not yet been identified. More Multiplayer modes are also planned for that point in the season.
DMZ sends squads into X01
X01 is a former Russian weapons facility on the edge of Hajin, now occupied by North Korean forces. Operators will move through cargo bays and vehicle depots, then descend into underground labs, production lines, and a sealed Deep Vault. Ghost will guide new DMZ Orders as squads face shifting hazards and threats inside the facility.
Season 1 DMZ events include Threat Briefings targeting a battle tank in Hajin and The Captain in X01. Collecting parts from those enemies and successfully extracting will contribute to event rewards. Resupply Run will send squads searching different points of interest for specific goods to trade for gear such as Self Revives and 3-Plate Carriers.
Warzone and the new weapon slate
Warzone will add Hajin and Zodiac, with Verdansk and Rebirth Island also returning as Modern Warfare 4 integration begins. The Nov. 2 roadmap will provide a separate breakdown of the mode’s Season 1 content.
The Battle Pass will add the Cronen Osprey assault rifle at Tier 16 and the CSG-35 submachine gun at Tier 36. Later in the season, events will offer the JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon, alongside new attachments, including two Apex Attachments. The pass uses a 100-tier track, and its premium version costs 1,100 COD Points. Premium buyers are guaranteed 50-plus rewards, with a catch-up feature that can bring them to the current day’s reward through Day 50.
