Borderlands 4 Version 1.10 Opens Providence and Adds Loveless the Hacker
The free update raises the level cap to 70, while Story Pack 2 and Bounty Pack 5 are available as separate purchases.
Borderlands 4 Version 1.10 is live as of September 10, bringing the new Vault Hunter Loveless the Hacker, Story Pack 2, and Bounty Pack 5 to Kairos. The free update raises the level cap by 10 levels to 70, while the new DLC is sold separately or included with select editions.
Gearbox detailed the launch in its latest Steam announcement. The release fulfills the previously scheduled September 10 lineup, with new story content, gear, and build options now available to players.
Loveless brings a two-part attack style
Loveless the Hacker costs $9.99 USD and is playable across Borderlands 4. The ex-Anshin hacker-turned-assassin shares her mind with a digital virus of her own creation, which can take physical form as a Wyrm companion.
Her abilities focus on fast attacks using Corrosive and Radiation damage. Plague Star throws a shuriken that can spread Contagion, Visual Paradox Nexus cloaks Loveless while leaving a decoy behind, and Malignant Construct sends her Wyrm after enemies with tail strikes and toxic breath. Functions provide low-cooldown power spikes, while Executables serve as heavier finishing attacks. Gearbox has also published a dedicated Loveless Vault Hunter page with her full skill-tree details.
Providence gives FL4K a new hunt
Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort costs $19.99 USD and adds the Providence region, where FL4K searches for the missing skag companion Mr. Chew while Tediore begins an invasion led by Lieutenant Harmony. The tropical island includes story and side missions, activities, collectibles, ziplines, and a new mix of jungle and resort environments.
The Story Pack includes 8 story bosses, including a new major boss, plus 13 minibosses. Their rewards include 2 Pearlescent weapons, 18 Legendary items, and 6 Legendary Class Mods, along with new Vault Hunter, weapon, vehicle, and ECHO-4 cosmetics.
Providence is recommended for Vault Hunters at level 13 or higher. Players must first complete the A Lot to Process mission in the Fadefields, then interact with the distress beacon near The Bones of Sanctuary in the Terminus Range. A new character can also start directly in this content at level 13.
Bounty Pack 5 turns Phase rifts into a boss rush
Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows costs $5.99 USD and sends Amara to investigate Phase disturbances connected to one of Vile Lictor’s old laboratories. The repeatable mission adds a new boss, 2 minibosses, 1 Pearlescent weapon, and 6 Legendary pieces of gear, with a Vault Hunter Skin, Vehicle, and ECHO-4 Drone Skin among its completion rewards.
The pack also includes the Vile Test Chamber, a repeatable boss rush built around cloned minibosses from across Kairos. Players must defeat 3 encounters within a time limit to reach Test Zero, a miniboss created specifically for the activity. The mission becomes available after completing A Lot to Process, with its starting Ordonite found near Bounty Boards in major hubs.
Bounty Pack 5: Vault Card 5 costs another $5.99 USD and adds 24 cosmetic items plus 4 rerollable Legendary items. Its gear rewards are Shield Overflow, Flash Fuel, Tempered Essence, and Alignment. The card also contains heads, skins, weapon skins, vehicle skins, and ECHO-4 rewards earned through regular gameplay, with no time limit on its progression.
Version 1.10 also changes every base-game Vault Hunter
The free update adds buffs and balance adjustments for all base-game Vault Hunter classes. Rafa the Exo-Soldier’s APOPHIS Lance receives especially large damage increases, while the level cap increase gives every character 10 more levels and the skill points that come with them.
Version 1.10 also makes Story Pack 1 and Bounty Pack 2 available as separate purchases. Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned costs $19.99 USD, C4SH the Rogue costs $9.99 USD, and both Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon and Vault Card 2 cost $5.99 USD. The Super Deluxe Edition includes Bounty Packs 2 through 5 and Story Packs 1 and 2 through the Bounty Pack Bundle and Vault Hunter Pack.
