Bohemia is giving Arma’s original Cold War era a remaster

The project adds widescreen support, updates the code for modern hardware, and already has a Steam demo while the full release waits for a later date.

Bohemia Interactive marked the 25th anniversary of Operation Flashpoint with a Steam announcement for Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered. The studio said the new version adds widescreen support and updated code aimed at better compatibility with modern hardware.

A demo is already available on Steam, while the full game will arrive later. Bohemia also published the source code on GitHub, giving fans a chance to look under the hood of the military sim that started it all.
