Blizzard Will Leave Diablo 4’s Hellfire Torch Combo Untouched This Season
The interaction can pair 3 Unique Charms with a full five-piece set bonus, and Blizzard is still investigating how it works.

Blizzard will leave Diablo 4’s Hellfire Torch charm interaction in place during the current season, despite confirming that it produces results beyond what the team intended. The developer says it is still investigating the issue, but will not change the interaction mid-season.
The setup combines the Hellfire Torch with two different Seals. Season 15 introduced the Torch as a Unique Charm with powerful affixes such as +All Skills, +All Stats, and +All Resistances. It can also take the place of a Set Charm while letting players equip an additional Unique Charm.
Seal of the Golden Epiphany lets players equip up to 3 Unique Charms. After equipping three, including the Hellfire Torch, players can swap to Seal of the Diamond Mind, which lets them reach set bonuses with fewer charms. That combination can preserve all three Unique Charm effects while also activating a full five-piece set bonus.
In a forum update signed by Diablo IV design director Dan Tanguay, Blizzard said it wants to avoid disrupting players who spent time earning the Torch and building characters around it. The team plans to investigate the underlying issue further before deciding how to handle it in the future.
Blizzard also acknowledged the positive response to the Hellfire Torch itself and said it is considering the item’s future. That is not confirmation that the Torch will remain in the game after the season, and the team has not announced a long-term decision.
