BLAST Bounty’s Semifinals Are Locked In for August 1

FaZe will face Spirit before Astralis meets MOUZ, with both matches scheduled for August 1.

The BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals semifinal bracket is now complete. FaZe will face Spirit at 12:30 on August 1, followed by Astralis against MOUZ at 15:30.

Astralis had the only selection to make during the semifinal draft because it held the higher seed against FaZe. The team could choose between Spirit and MOUZ, and ultimately picked MOUZ as its opponent.

Filip “NEO” Kubski explained that the decision was not unanimous. Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen reportedly felt more confident about facing Spirit, but the team settled on MOUZ instead.

The choice also carried tournament implications. Spirit entered the LAN stage as the highest-ranked team remaining, while the semifinalists had all fought through the earlier portion of the event to reach the final four.

  • 12:30, August 1: FaZe vs. Spirit
  • 15:30, August 1: Astralis vs. MOUZ

The four teams are part of the eight-team LAN finals field in Malta, which also includes The MongolZ, paiN, Liquid, and 3DMAX. The event will continue through August 2, with the semifinal winners advancing to the grand final.

Spirit remains the team to beat on paper, but FaZe will have the first chance to prevent a straightforward run to the title. In the other matchup, Astralis’ draft decision puts MOUZ on the opposite side of the bracket.

Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Valve. Released in September 2023, it is the fifth main entry in the Counter-Strike series and serves as a direct replacement for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam. Two teams, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, compete in objective-based rounds across modes such as bomb defusal and hostage rescue. Built on the Source 2 engine, the game introduced volumetric smoke physics, revised weapon handling, and a new sub-tick server architecture. It inherited all cosmetic items from its predecessor and features both a map-specific Competitive mode and a numerically ranked Premier mode.
