If you’ve been eagerly counting down to the release of Blades of Fire, then grab your notepads because 505 Games and MercurySteam just dropped the official PC system requirements. Scheduled for a May 22nd launch on the Epic Games Store, this game promises plenty of fiery action, and now we know exactly what kind of rig you’ll need to do it justice.

Minimum & Recommended Requirements To run Blades of Fire at a decent level, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7-11700KF or AMD Ryzen 5800X paired with 16GB of RAM. As for graphics, the minimum requirement is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. With this setup, you can expect to enjoy the game at 1080p High settings while maintaining a solid 60 FPS, at least according to the developers.

Want better visuals? The recommended specs bump things up a bit, suggesting a GTX 1080 Ti or RX 6700 XT, which should let you crank things up to 1440p while keeping 60 FPS smooth.

For those who dream of 4K, the hardware demands increase significantly. You’ll need an NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER or an AMD RX 6800 XT under the hood. But if you’re aiming for the absolute best experience possible, MercurySteam suggests investing in an Intel Core i7-13600K or AMD Ryzen 7600X, paired with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 or AMD RX 7900 XTX. With this combo, you can push 4K Ultra settings at 60 FPS; It’s time to flex those graphical muscles!

FSR Takes Center Stage One key takeaway from these requirements is the heavy reliance on AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). While some players may have hoped for system specs reflecting native 4K gaming without upscaling, MercurySteam appears to be embracing FSR for performance boosts. If you were expecting DLSS or Frame Generation tech, that doesn’t seem to be part of the equation, at least not yet.

But hey, at least we have a solid baseline for what to expect. I’ll test it once I get it, so stay tuned for more updates!
