A recent leak suggests Black Ops 7 will launch with three fan-favorite maps from Black Ops 2. While earlier rumors hinted at a full roster of BO2 maps, it seems only a select few will be ready on day one.
Months before Black Ops 7 was officially announced, leaks claimed every Black Ops 2 map would return, similar to how current Warfare 3 (2023) launched with all maps from the original MW2. That hype took a hit when the BO7 website promised a fresh multiplayer experience with brand-new maps, implying remasters wouldn’t dominate the initial lineup.
Still, the leak from a trusted source, ‘TheGhostOfHope,’ reveals that Raid, Express, and Hijacked will be available at launch. These three maps are among the most favorite from BO2’s collection.
The 3 Black Ops 2 remastered maps at the launch of Black Ops 7 are the following:

– Express

Raid is widely regarded as one of the best maps in the series, set in a sprawling mansion in the Hollywood Hills. It made a return in Black Ops Cold War, though without the futuristic vibe that will likely fit right in with BO7’s style.
Express takes place in a busy railway station featuring a fully explorable train. First introduced in 2012, it also came back in Black Ops Cold War. Hijacked puts players on a luxury yacht out at sea. This map has popped up multiple times over the years, appearing in BOCW, BO4’s Blackout mode as a point of interest, and even as a reimagined floating airship called Skyjacked in BO3.
According to the leak, these three might be the only BO2 maps included at launch. The rest of the 13 maps could show up later through seasonal updates, but that’s not confirmed yet. We’ll get a better picture when Gamescom Opening Night Live happens on August 19, where an in-depth look at Black Ops 7 will be revealed. What’s your take? Are Raid, Express, and Hijacked enough to satisfy your nostalgia, or were you hoping for a full BO2 map comeback right away? Guess we’ll have to wait and see if Treyarch plans to add more later.
