The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer and Zombies Beta has begun its Early Access window on Steam for players who preordered, with the Open Beta planned for all players the following weekend.
When to jump in
Early Access runs from October 2 to October 4 for players who preordered the game, and the Open Beta will be available to everyone from October 5 at 10AM PT through October 8 at 10AM PT. Players can download the Beta through Steam.
PC security requirement
PC players will need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled to participate, and additional security checks may be enforced. You can read the support article on TPM and Secure Boot here.
What’s in the Beta
The Beta includes both Multiplayer and a Zombies Survival experience. Early Access starts with three core Multiplayer maps – The Forge, Cortex, and Exposure – plus the Vandorn Farm Zombies Survival map. The Open Beta expands the map pool with two additional maps, Blackheart and Toshin, while keeping the Early Access maps live.
Modes and training
Multiplayer modes on offer include the new Overload mode, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed. A Multiplayer Training Course on The Forge is available to learn the updated Omnimovement and firing systems. For Zombies, there is a Zombies Survival Training course and a focused Survival mode on Vandorn Farm that drops in some devices and machines you might not see in Standard mode.
GobbleGums and limited Beta items
The Beta gives players a selection of complimentary, Beta-only GobbleGums for the Zombies Survival portion. These are temporary and won’t affect your inventories outside the Beta. Examples include Epic GobbleGums like Profit Sharing and Explosive Flourish, Legendary items like Round Off, and Ultra GobbleGums such as Perkaholic, Wonderbar!, and the new Gift Card. For details on each GobbleGum, see the Zombies GobbleGums guide at the Call of Duty Guides page.
Progression and rewards
During Early Access the Beta progression caps at Level 20, unlocking weapons, perks, equipment, and a handful of Beta cosmetic rewards as you level. When the Open Beta begins, the maximum level increases to 30 with additional unlocks and Beta rewards, including weapon blueprints and Operator skins. You can track Beta stats via the Beta stats microsite at callofduty.com/bo7betastats, with stats going live on October 3 at 9 AM PT.
Preorder bonus
Preordering a digital or Vault Edition before the end of the Beta grants the GobbleGum Monster Pack, which delivers an extensive collection of GobbleGums into your account for use now and carried forward into Black Ops 7 at launch. For a deeper look at each map, mode, or the Zombies Survival layout, the Call of Duty Guides section features dedicated pages and map guides that provide tips and routes: Guides.
