Hey there, fellow dwellers! So, you know that feeling when you’re all set for a holiday party, decked out in your best gear, and then wham! The power goes out? Don’t worry. Just get your Nuka-Cola because we’ve got a bit of a situation with the Fallout 76 Holiday Scorched event.
The developers recently gave us an update about the state of the Holiday Scorched event. Some players reported that their gifts played hide-and-seek more than they were receiving them. In response to this outcry from the community, they cranked up the spawn rate of those pesky Festive Scorched. More legendary loot sounded great on paper, but guess what? It didn’t quite translate into reality.
Here’s the thing: too many wandering Festive Scorched created chaos elsewhere in Appalachia. So, earlier today, our dear friends at Bethesda decided to revert that spawn rate back to its original settings. If it feels like we’re riding a rollercoaster here,… welcome to game development!
Now, here comes the kicker, the Holiday Scorched event will be deactivated starting tomorrow at 11 AM ET. If you still have challenges lingering, like uninvited guests at your holiday dinner, now’s your last chance to wrap them up before they’re gone for good.
But don’t fret!
The holiday spirit isn’t packing its bags just yet! The beloved Santatron will continue spreading cheer, and gift wraps will still be available from train station vendors. Plus, starting tomorrow at 11 AM ET you can claim a stack of Gift Wrap once daily from the Atomic Shop until January 2nd!
- 20 Low Quality Gift Wrap
- 15 Medium Quality Gift Wrap
- 10 High Quality Gift Wrap
If you’re claiming your gift wrap at the same time every day (like clockwork), you might run into an error message. Just wait an hour and try again. This is awesome, and you should think of it as crafting presents for others or yourself! After all, while our most excellent present is having a fantastic community like you guys around during this holiday season, it’s also lovely to see what creative surprises await under those virtual trees.
If you’re curious about all these changes directly from Bethesda’s digital mouthpiece (and who wouldn’t be?), check out their official announcement here.
Sooo… What do you think? Are you bummed about losing those Festive Scorched, or are you excited to stockpile some shiny new gift wraps instead? Whatever your thoughts, I hope everyone has a blast diving into their unique holiday adventures in Appalachia!
