Battlefield 6 ended June with a 6.59% Match Infection Rate (MIR), up from 5.52% at the start of the month. In its June Steam announcement, EA described the period as most of Season 3 and the game’s first Ranked Season.
MIR measures the share of matches affected by at least one suspected cheater. That figure includes cases where EA did not yet have enough evidence to take action against an account.
June began at 5.52%, then climbed gradually to an initial peak of 6.37% on June 11. The rate eased afterward, reaching 5.88% around June 24, before rising again and finishing the month at 6.59%.
That followed a May close of 5.09%, with the month’s pattern covered in our May anti-cheat breakdown. EA had introduced more detection work alongside Ranked play during that period, while cheat makers responded with attempts to spoof or emulate TPM 2.0 compliance.
EA linked the rise to the TPM 2.0 warning period
EA said the TPM 2.0 warning had been active for several weeks and that enforcement would follow within a few weeks of the June update. The publisher wanted players with legitimate compatibility problems to resolve them before blocking bad actors who used the workaround to avoid detection. Players needing help were directed to EA’s TPM 2.0 support article.
The June update also previewed a revised list of prohibited hardware and software for Season 4. EA said some newer features and uses would receive blocks, warnings, or other enforcement after the team reviewed how they could undermine fair play. More details were promised in a dedicated Season 4 anti-cheat update.
Javelin Anti-Cheat prevented 226,592 cheat or tampering attempts during June before they could affect matches. EA was still tracking 112 (+2) active cheat-related programs, hardware solutions, vendors, resellers, and associated communities. Among them, 107 (+6) were reporting feature failures, detection notices, downtime, or had taken their cheats offline, representing 95.53% of the tracked total.
