Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.1.5 Will Tidy Up Deployment, Vehicles, and REDSEC

The quality-of-life patch is scheduled to launch on August 4 at 8 AM UTC with fixes for gameplay, maps, Portal, UI, audio, and PC crashes.

Battlefield 6 Game Update 1.4.1.5 will arrive on Tuesday, August 4, at 8 AM UTC. Electronic Arts described the patch as a smaller quality-of-life update covering both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC.

The update focuses on deployment speed, aiming behavior, water transitions, vehicles, Challenge tracking, menus, map presentation, Portal experiences, and sound. It also includes a PC stability fix for certain NVIDIA GPUs, along with several Battle Royale corrections in REDSEC. The full announcement is available through the Steam update notice.

Among the player-facing changes, soldiers and interface elements should appear faster after deployment. The patch also removes a duplicate crosshair during aim transitions, fixes an unwanted falling animation near water, and smooths suppressed sniper aiming for classes outside Recon.

Vehicle fixes cover Thermal Smoke Discharge damage on slopes and an issue that could change Main Battle Tank Canister Shells into Aim-Guided Shells during a reload. Map work includes better pylon visibility for pilots on Railway to Golmud, corrected flashing near Objective C on Tsuru Reef, and collision and geometry fixes on Iberian Offensive and Cairo Bazaar.

On PC, the update addresses a driver crash that could affect certain NVIDIA GPUs when players changed attachments on the SOR-300SC, used Custom Search, or played on maps with large bodies of water. REDSEC also receives fixes for sabotaged tanks that stayed stunned and a lobby sound effect that could loop when starting a Battle Royale match.
