Battlefield 6 Temporarily Disables Proximity Chat During Update 1.4.3.0 Investigation
A September 16 client hotfix resolved Deep Six event problems, while attachment swaps, matchmaking, minimap visibility, and delayed notifications remain under investigation.

Battlefield 6 has temporarily disabled Proximity Chat while the team investigates a problem with the feature. Update 1.4.3.0 is live, and a client hotfix was deployed on September 16, but several player-facing issues are still being tracked.
Update 1.4.3.0 introduced Proximity Chat testing in Battlefield Battle Royale alongside the Deep Six Collection Event. In its Steam status update, the Battlefield team confirmed that Proximity Chat is now offline and will return after the related issue is addressed.
Battlefield 6 issues still under investigation
Reports of missing or changing weapon attachments began after Season 4 Phase 3 went live, and the team is still examining the cause. Battle Royale matchmaking is also under review because the problem does not affect every player or region, making it harder to isolate.
The team has identified the issue that can make the minimap disappear when a player is downed. A fix is planned for the next client update, although the roundup does not provide a release date for that update.
Delayed in-game feedback is another open problem. The investigation covers notifications such as scoreboard updates and hit indicators, which some players are seeing later than expected.
Deep Six fixes and Javelin compatibility
Deep Six event contracts have received a fix, and players should now receive them at the intended level. The event information screen was also adjusted so it should appear only the first time a player opens the event tab instead of returning on every visit.
Javelin’s anti-cheat team has deployed a new version that should work with Windows Insider Builds that were previously unsupported. The team said it is continuing to review further reports and will share more information as those investigations progress.
