Battlefield 6 Finds Fresh Momentum as Season 4 Brings Players Back

The shooter reached 81,745 concurrent players on Steam in the last 24 hours, while Twitch viewership climbed to 51,500.

Battlefield 6 has picked up a fresh wave of player interest following the launch of its fourth season. The update is now live across all platforms, bringing the Tsuru Reef map, naval combat, and new weapons into the rotation.

That launch appears to have given the shooter a much-needed boost. Battlefield 6 reached 81,745 concurrent players on Steam during the last 24 hours, its highest figure in roughly five months. The game had not reached that level since the middle of February.

Season 4 Gives Battlefield 6 a Player Boost

Tsuru Reef is the main attraction at launch. The Pacific battlefield combines islands, beaches, cliffs, and open water, giving infantry, vehicles, aircraft, and boats room to collide. Its wide sightlines have already drawn some criticism from players who prefer more enclosed maps, but the new setting has still given the season plenty of attention.

The update also puts naval warfare at the center of matches. The season’s broader additions, including its water-focused combat and new weapons, are detailed in the Season 4 breakdown.

Interest extended beyond Steam. Battlefield 6 reached a peak of 51,500 viewers on Twitch, its strongest showing in several months. The last similar peak came in March, when the game reached 52,000 concurrent viewers.

The numbers do not erase the gradual decline that followed the game’s launch, but they show that a major seasonal update can still bring players and viewers back. The response to Tsuru Reef, naval combat, and the new weapons will determine how long that attention lasts.

Season 4 also has more content planned for later in its run. Wake Island will return in a revised form, giving Battlefield 6 another familiar battlefield to place alongside its new Pacific setting.
