Battlefield 6 Season 4 Puts Tsuru Reef and Naval Combat at Center Stage
The new season adds a Pacific island map, dynamic waves, two naval vehicles, Ranked Battle Royale rewards, and three weapons across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC.

Battlefield 6 and REDSEC are heading into Season 4 with a clear focus on battles across land, air, and water. The season introduces the Tsuru Reef map, a new wave system, naval vehicles, a returning Ranked Battle Royale season, and three new weapons.
The official Steam announcement for Season 4 describes Tsuru Reef as a large island chain filled with tropical vegetation, luxury bungalows, steep cliffs, and surrounding ocean. The map supports every mode, giving infantry, aircraft, and naval crews plenty of room to collide.
That setting also gives the season its main gameplay hook. The Dynamic Wave System changes conditions across the water, with waves affecting visibility and creating new ways to break enemy sightlines during attacks. Crews will need to account for the sea itself instead of treating it as a flat route between objectives.

Ranked Battle Royale returns in REDSEC
REDSEC’s next Ranked Battle Royale season brings back its competitive leaderboard along with new permanent rewards. Players can form squads, compete for higher positions, and work through the ranked season for rewards that remain available after they are earned.

Two boats join the fight
Season 4 adds two naval vehicles to the Battlefield 6 and REDSEC arsenal. The 7.7m NSW RHIB is a fast transport boat fitted with a machine gun, giving squads a quick way to cross open water while returning fire.
The RCB-90 patrol boat takes a heavier approach. It is an armored assault vessel built to contest the coastline and provide a more forceful presence during water-based attacks.
Three new weapons
The weapon lineup covers several combat ranges and playstyles:
- EF88: A bullpup assault rifle designed for precise mid- to long-range fire.
- BROD 3: An aggressive carbine that supports multiple calibers and favors close-range fights.
- VSSM: A designated marksman rifle with an integrated suppressor and subsonic ammunition. It can also fire fully automatically for faster follow-up shots.

With Tsuru Reef, changing water conditions, new boats, and a fresh ranked track in REDSEC, Season 4 gives Battlefield 6 players several ways to take the fight offshore. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
