Banana’s 1.2.17 patch adds a clearer help system and a cleanup pass
The update also tightens up menus, extends drop notifications, and fixes several issues around saving, exchanging, and inventory updates.

Banana just picked up a v1.2.17 patch that adds a new in-game help system, cleans up a few parts of the interface, and fixes a handful of bugs that could interrupt play. The team also said Leaderboards, Stats, Pretige, and News features are still in development for later updates.

Hello everyone! This is a small update to improve the game experience and fix some issues.
In the following weeks, we’ll be releasing more updates to enhance your gameplay!

New
- New in-game Help system: tap the “?” buttons across the game for plain-language explainers covering 23 systems (clicker, builders, inventory, exchange, capsules, and more).
Improved
- Cleaned up the Settings menu layout
- Filter section headers now line up with their options, and filter sections are packed closer together. (BETA)
- De-Christmased the game UI & Well Of The Past.
- Wishing Well: bigger well, a clearer help button, and large gold amounts now show as 96 797 / 1.2M.
- Drop notifications now stay on screen a little longer (7 seconds) so they’re easier to read.
Fixed
- Item descriptions now display apostrophes and quotes correctly instead of raw character codes.
- Game startup loading screen now dismisses correctly, including when Steam isn’t running.
- The “Game saved” popup can now be closed by clicking it or its X button, no longer pops every time you tab away, and the brief alt-tab freeze is gone.
- Fixed Collections/Settings/Filters menus showing leftover seasonal decorations.
- Fixed issue on exchanging sometimes would throw error.
- Fixed issue where after exchanging the number of bananas in the inventory would not update.
Performance
- Frame-time and allocation improvements on countdown timers.
