Astroneer has just received a hotfix addressing several bugs that popped up after the Elevated Update. These fixes mainly come from player reports across socials and support channels, showing that the community’s voice still matters a lot in this cosmic crafting adventure.
While the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox versions share the same patch number (1.34.47.0), the Nintendo Switch version is a step behind at 1.34.46.0. So, Switch players might have to wait a bit for these fixes to land.
Bugfixes
Here’s what got fixed in this patch:
- [AS-22367] The glitch portal’s audio used to linger in its last location even after collapsing. That annoying echo is gone now.
- [AS-22318] Glitch portals deployed before the Elevated Update couldn’t be recalled. Now they behave properly.
- [AS-22315] The Large Extended Platform B was missing from the Medium Printer—no more.
- [AS-22314] Large Stacked Platform, Large Battery, and Print Filter weren’t showing up in the starting printer. Fixed.
- [AS-22313] The starting printer couldn’t be slotted into Print Filters, which made filtering a pain. That’s sorted.
- [AS-22312] The Medium Battery model was oddly visible inside the Large Battery. Visual weirdness? Gone.
- [AS-22311] Backpack recipes in the Small Printer weren’t filtering out with Print Filters. Now they do.
Updates
The Packager has been moved within the Research Catalogue. It’s no longer squished in the top row of the first page but now has its own dedicated row at the bottom of that page. It’s a small change, but I guess it makes hunting for it a bit less frustrating.
Known Issues
These bugs are still lurking as of patch 1.34.47.0:
- [AS-22228] The mission “Bootstrapped for Cache” won’t move to the reclaimable section if claimed before the Elevated Update.
- [AS-22203] Sometimes, in co-op, hosts and clients see different terrain in the same spot. Reloading the game usually fixes this mismatch, but it’s a pain if you’re mid-expedition.
- [AS-18141] Rail lines can vanish completely for clients in multiplayer, making them unusable. That’s a real bummer for anyone who loves setting up efficient routes.
Speaking of ongoing things, the Automated Mass Production Protocol 2025 event is still running until the end of August. If you want to join in, print an EXO Request Platform and start trading resources for points. It’s a neat way to keep busy while digging around.
Here’s what EXO is after:
- Carbon (2 points)
- Resipound (15 points)
- Diamond (20 points)
- Nanocarbon Alloy (30 points)
- Automaton 009 (48 points)
Why do these glitches keep popping up? Maybe the devs are trying to push boundaries with the Elevated Update, but sometimes things slip through. Yikes. Still, it’s good to see them patching up quickly and listening to the community.
