Arkheron has opened its Closed Beta to Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Bonfire Studios announced the test in an official Xbox announcement, which confirmed that the technical test will run through midnight PT on July 27.
Because this is a technical test, players should expect bugs and ongoing changes from the development team. Arkheron is a fast-paced PvP game built around teams of three. Instead of choosing from fixed classes, players combine items during each match to create their abilities, roles, and playstyles.
Arkheron’s Closed Beta Modes
The beta’s main mode is Spires, a 3v3 arena designed for quick matches and testing different builds. It gives teams a focused place to practice combat, try item combinations, and work on coordination.
Ascension takes the action to a larger map. Fifteen teams of three collect items, improve their kits, and fight their way up the Tower before facing a final 3v3 battle. The mode will only be available during limited regional weekend windows. The full schedule is available through the official beta schedule.
Exclusive Beta Rewards
The Closed Beta also marks the first test of Arkheron’s cosmetic progression system. Players can earn Pages by opening chests, defeating monsters, completing Challenge Rifts, and ascending the Tower.
Pages can be spent on playtest-exclusive Prestige items. Those rewards will remain attached to player accounts after the beta ends.
How to Join the Arkheron Beta
- Launch the Xbox Insider Hub app on Xbox Series X|S or Windows PC. Install it from the Store first if necessary.
- Open Previews and select Arkheron Insider.
- Choose Join.
- Wait for registration to finish, then install Arkheron Insider from the Store.
The preview is limited to Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Bonfire Studios is seeking feedback on combat, controls, performance, onboarding, matchmaking, and the broader player experience. Testers can send suggestions and report problems through the Arkheron Forums, where the developers will answer questions and review feedback.
