Adin Ross is back on Twitch after a two-year ban, and his return has been met with considerable enthusiasm. The controversial streamer saw his follower count soar by 56,000 within twelve hours of reactivating his account.
Banned in February 2023 for failing to manage offensive content on his channel and within chat discussions, Ross had previously shifted to Kick.com. There, he became one of the platform’s most recognized figures despite not reaching the same heights he enjoyed on Twitch. In July 2024, I reported on whispers about his possible return when Twitch CEO Dan Clancy expressed interest in discussing Ross’s future.
Before his ban, Adin Ross had amassed an impressive following of 7.2 million users and over 70,000 subscribers while achieving some of the highest average viewer counts on the platform. His success didn’t translate directly to Kick.com; although he produced notable content like hosting an interview with Donald Trump, he never reached similar peaks.
Since being reinstated, Ross’s Twitch account was reset entirely, forcing him to rebuild from scratch. However, accumulating 56,000 followers so swiftly shows there’s still major interest in what he offers. Reaching previous levels might be challenging, given current trends in global viewership.
