Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #2.1 Now Live, Patch Notes and more

The latest hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 is now live, addressing some key issues players have encountered. With Hotfix #2.1, developer Larian Studios is taking steps to enhance the gameplay experience and prepare for the upcoming PlayStation 5 launch. Here’s a detailed look at the changes.

In response to player feedback, Larian Studios has discovered that some personal ‘story’ databases, where choices and actions are stored, grew too large. As a result, the size has now been made infinite, or at least as infinite as players’ storage space allows. This change will enable players to continue their journeys without worrying about the limitations of their save files.

Baldur’s Gate Hotfix #2.1 Patch Notes

As it turns out, many of you were doing so much in Baldur’s Gate 3 that some of your personal ‘story’ databases (where your choices and actions are stored) got too big. We now made the size infinite (or at least as infinite as you have storage space), to account for the sheer amount of things you’re all doing on your journeys. As of today, we’re also reactivating cross-saves as we near our PlayStation 5 launch.

Hotfix #3 is currently in the oven, and will include further fixes in the near future.

Please reach out to our support team if you encounter any troubles on your journey through the Forgotten Realms.

CHANGES
