The skies over the Norvinsk region, the fictional battleground of Escape From Tarkov, have been churning with an extraordinary influx of airplane activity. In anticipation of an upcoming wipe, developers at Battlestate Games have launched an immersive pre-wipe event that has given EFT a distinct Battle Royale flair.
In this event, aircraft are dropping not just the usual loot but also altered drops, predominantly of weapon crates. This new approach to the loot mechanic is shaking up the gameplay, adding a layer of unpredictability and a dash of the survival-focused, winner-takes-all thrill that characterizes the Battle Royale genre.

The crates are not your typical weapon cases. Sealed and packed with various loot, from guns and armor to meta ammo, they are meant to be opened only within the safe confines of your stash. Reportedly, players can find 10pc, 20pc, and 50pc packs of all meta ammo in these boxes, marking a significant change in the game’s resource distribution.
Be careful, because everyone is running for the planes, so you should expect fierce action as long as you’re in the vicinity of the dropped supply package. I’d be happy to be watching the action.
