Microsoft has announced significant improvements to the Xbox Home UI in response to users’ feedback in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha programs. The updated UI promises a more streamlined experience with improved navigation, allowing gamers to enjoy their Xbox Series X/S consoles even more.
Fundamental changes include a streamlined layout, where tiles have been moved to the bottom of the screen with reduced sizes to emphasize the background, creating a cleaner look and allowing for a more visually appealing home screen. The new responsive game art feature updates the default background to showcase the game’s art when users hover over a game title, offering a dynamic and immersive experience.
Enhanced navigation has also been introduced with a new Quick Access menu at the top of the screen, providing direct access to the user’s game library, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Store, and settings menu. Additionally, the updated “My games & apps” tile now alerts users when there is new content or when attention is required, keeping them informed and engaged.
These updates to the Xbox Home UI are currently available in preview for Xbox Insiders and will be rolled out to all users later this year. Microsoft continues to gather feedback from the Xbox community, using it to fine-tune and develop their gaming experiences. This commitment to user-driven improvements demonstrates the company’s dedication to creating an enjoyable user experience.
