Epic Games is happy to announce that Fortnite competitive events are ready to return to their former state. The Fortnite competitive scene has previously been crippled due to the COVID-19, preventing the developer from organizing LAN or in-person events. On Sunday, Epic Games announced that Fortnite will continue with in-person events.
This will allow fans to gather in support of their favorite players during a LAN performance. Furthermore, Epic Games announced the FNCS Invitational 2022, which will take place on November 12 and 13 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Even if seemingly concreted at first glance, Epic Games also reminded that if public health trends change or regional laws or recommendations shift towards the worse, they may need to reschedule or change the plans.
With the reinstation of in-person live events, Fortnite is expected to bolster its viewership back to its initial numbers. Back in the day, hundreds, if not thousands, of players were playing and watching Fortnite, especially during a competitive event. It’s good to see this happening, both for the community and the organizer as well.
