Project Fireball is a quest in The Cycle: Frontier. The quest is given by Marie Gilbert – Ravel – ICA Chief Procurement Officer. It consists of 7 different parts. All of them are included below.
The Cycle Frontier “Project Fireball” Quest Details
General Quest Dialogue
Prospect Station’s power woes may soon be over. You just need to retrieve some very delicate machinery, get some highly radioactive meteor fragments, and help the ICA build a highly experimental power generator.
A Prospector’s life is definitely never boring.
Final Rewards
- x1 Lacerator

Part 1 Dialogue
Our people have gone through more of the data Tao recovered, and this might just make sense. We’ll need some mag stabs to start our tests, and more importantly, Meteor Fragments.
Objectives
- Deliver 5 Meteor Fragments
- Deliver 10 Magnetic Field Stabilizers

Guide
- Meteor Fragments can be acquired by mining the small Meteorites that periodically fall from the sky. The exact frequency at which the Meteor Shower occurs is unknown. A rough estimate is once per day/storm cycle. That means you will definitely encounter these during your prime time. Care, once it finishes, other players may anticipate the impact too, as the shower can be seen from every place on the map. The Meteor Shower consists of small meteorites and a big one that has a huge impact and concludes the shower with a big bang. You need to mine the small ones, as they are the only ones that give Meteor Fragments. The big one gives a Meteor Core.
- Magnetic Field Stabilizers can be found in Dumpsters, but can also spawn as a static spawn in some POIs.
Part 2 Dialogue
This sort of research requires equipment we don’t have at hand, and I know Osiris isn’t just going to give it to us… Check these locations and some Portable Labs for us, Prospector.
Objectives
- Visit Osiris Wildlife Preserve on Crescent Falls
- Visit Skeleton Observation on Crescent Falls
- Deliver 2 Portable Lab

Guide
This quest asks you to visit Osiris Wildlife Preserve and Skeleton Observation on Crescent Falls. Just run past these two locations. They are marked in the image below.
- The last part is to find and deliver Portable Lab. Portable Lab can be found in Briefcases and in Medical Areas. I also believe it has a chance to spawn in Cabinets, so make sure you loot them. Reasonably, it should have a slightly higher spawn rate on Crescent Falls. But can also be found in the north area on Bright Sands, such as the Crashed Ship. Sometimes you’ll even find it laying on the ground.
There were quite a few people involved with this research, it doesn’t make sense that it was just forgotten. There should be more research kept in the surface power plants’ head offices; check the one on Bright Sands first.
Objectives
- Enter the Bright Sands Power Plant Office
- Deliver Notes on Meteor Experiment – 1

The Power Plant Office is located on the east side of the POI itself. Below you can find its exact location and closeup:
Part 4 Dialogue
This looks very promising, if what the research you brought back is accurate, not only would we be solving our power issues here, but we’d have something to compete with Korolev’s veltecite monopoly everywhere! There’s references to a prototype being built at the Crescent Falls Power Plant; head there and find whatever you can, quick as you can!
Objectives
- Enter the Crescent Falls Power Plant Office
- Deliver Notes on Meteor Experiment – 2

Guide
Unlike the previous part, this one asks us to go to Crescent Falls and visit the Power Plant Office. After getting there, you need to pick up Notes on Meteor Experiment – 2. This room is locked behind a puzzle, and you need to place all batteries to fit the power conduit. As usual, find the batteries and stash them in the right slots to open the door. For a better overview of where the item is, check the image below:
Part 5 Dialogue
I read through the report you brought back; it’s not the easy win I had hoped for, but my people assure me they can make improvements on the original designs to make it work. We’ll need some meteor cores first, of course. Oh, and take out some other prospectors; reports of increased violence should keep any Korolev people on the field away, don’t want them getting curious about what we’re up to.
Objectives
- Deliver 3 Meteor Cores
- Eliminate 5 Prospectors using an Assault Rifle
Rewards

|
Guide
- You need to deliver 3 Meteor Cores, available from Meteor Showers, an event that occurs once every day/night cycle. The Cores can be mined from the big Meteors, which is one per shower. More info on that can be found below:
The rest is simple, and you will need to eliminate 5 players with an Assault Rifle. Eligible weapons for this quest are:
- AR-55 Autorifle
- Manticore
- Phasic Lancer
- Gorgon
- Advocate
- KOR-47
Part 6 Dialogue
I’m preparing to send a team down to the surface to finalize a prototype and run tests well away from the station; everyone assures me it’s safe, but I’ve read the warning myself. I need you to cull the number of creatures at these locations, it should make life for my people easier.
Objectives
- Hunt 15 Creatures at the Lake on Bright Sands
- Hunt 15 Creatures at Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls
Rewards

Guide
The quest is pretty straightforward, and you need to kill 15 creatures of any type at the Lake on Bright Sands, and Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls. Check the image below for their locations.
Part 7 Dialogue
One of the supply crates for our project was left open under the rain, damaged most of the contents and now my team needs replacement parts. Stash them somewhere safe, we need to finish that prototype.
Objectives
- Stash 4 Miniature Ractors in Greens Prospect Stockpile
- Stash 8 Circuit Boards in Greens Prospect Stockpile
- Stash 10 Copper Wires in Greens Prospect Stockpile

Guide
- Miniature Reactors are a rare spawn. They can be easily found in Storage Boxes (). The best way to get these is by doing the Puzzles (power conduits), as the rooms have a guaranteed Storage Box. There’s one at the Water Facility on and East Collection Site on Bright Sands. There’s also one at the Skeleton Observation Site on Crescent Falls. Basically said, whenever you need this item and you see a Puzzle in some POI, then just try to figure it out. It guarantees a Miniature Reactor inside the Storage Box in the room. Check the image below to see how the Puzzle rooms look like:
- Circuit Boards can be found in Briefcases, Luggage, and as a static spawn across technologically advanced rooms and areas (racks, decks next to PCs, chairs, etc.).
- Copper Wires can be found in Dumpsters and as static spawns laying on the ground. A common spot for farming these is at the Science Campus on Bright Sands, as that’s a big industrial area.
Now that you know where to find the items, the next part of the quest asks you to stash them in the Greens Prospect Stockpile Dead Drop. This is also located in the middle of the map on Crescent Falls. Check the image below for the exact Dead Drop location. The Stockpile Dead Drop is in the Stockpile Building.
