Escape From Tarkov Banned 9,000 Cheaters in One Ban Wave

The Banhammer was bigger than the usual.

It feels good to see Battlestate Games battling the cheaters in Escape From Tarkov on a constant, daily basis.  Playing a survival game of this caliber, where everything you brought in with you in a Raid is at stake, can sometimes be quite frustrating, especially if a cheater kills you. To accommodate its players, BattlEye and BSG have delivered another cheerful operation, and that is banning 9,000 cheaters.

Over on Twitter, Nikita Buyanov, the COO of Battlestate Games said “We constantly commence ban waves of cheaters. But yesterday there was a wave that I want to note – minus 9,000 cheaters“. The post was praised by most of the fans of the realistic shooter, but some remained skeptical scared by the fact that they’ll return in no time.

The RMT (Real Money Trading) Problem in Escape From Tarkov has been there since its early days. With hot loot such as Labs Keycards and other valuable pieces, the game has become a cheater’s paradise. Not to blame anyone, but according to listings on eBay and other marketplaces, it’s easy to realize that some of the sellers are making big bucks. Unrooting cheaters from Tarkov would be tougher than expected, and will definitely remain cheaters’ favorite game. At least in the near future.
