Do you want to get away from the WW2-themed games and finally set in a new Call of Duty generation? If yes, then that’s exactly what Infinity Ward aims to do. On Thursday, the Activision subsidiary designated for the modern Call of Duty titles, Infinity Ward, has announced that a new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, anyone?
Over on Twitter, the developer posted the following:
A new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon.
Stay frosty.

For those who do not know, Infinity Ward is the developer behind Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and rumors have been swinging around about the potential development of its sequel. 2022’s Call of Duty is more likely to be a modern game due to the lack of interest in historical settings.
If rumors are authentic and we see Modern Warfare 2, we’ll also witness a new campaign featuring US special forces fighting against Colombian drug cartels. The title of the rumors all contained Project Cortez, and its arrival has somewhat been confirmed.
How would you know if this is true? Well, backing up the recent Tweet by Infinity Ward would be pretty straightforward since it’s their turn to develop a Call of Duty title after Sledgehammer Games’ Vanguard. The upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare sequel is expected to be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
