Amazon Games has decided to fix the lingering queue times in Central EU and US East promptly. Just a while ago, the developer shut down the New World EU servers, which maintenance is supposed to add additional servers to migrate to or start the journey anew. These new worlds are supposed to save those who haven’t had a good time so far.
According to the in-game message, in US East, the developer has opened 28 additional worlds to counter the problem caused by the long queue times.
The same occurs in EU, which maintenance was announced both in-game and in their forums. The maintenance is supposed to last approximately 90 minutes.
We are working on releasing new worlds for Central Europe so we are taking some downtime to prepare for this at 9:30am PT/6:30am CEST.
This downtime is preparation for the coming days to improve your experience by getting more worlds out.
The expected downtime is: approximately 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes).
Once downtime has been completed, we will update this post.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Earlier today, Australia has also received additional worlds.
[#NWSTATUS UPDATE] We are working on releasing additional worlds for Australia. The downtime is slated to start at 6:30 PM PT (11:30 AM AEST).
The expected downtime is approximately 30 minutes.
Thank you for your patience!
