Today’s PlayStation showcase was a wild ride, if you ask me. Previously known as only God of War 2, but now “baptized” like God of War Ragnarök. On Thursday, Sony had tons of top-notch video game announcements, and God of War: Ragnarok was definitely the icing on the cake. God of War Ragnarok is coming out in 2022 with plans to deliver a heavy dose of Norse mythology with it. So, what more can we say about the game?
The story comes back to Midgard, where both Kratos and Atreus have immigrated after the defeat of the Olympian gods. According to the official press release by Sony, they will have a rough time dealing with encounters from now on.
The realms have grown harsher, and a whole host of new creatures from across Norse mythology will test your skill. From the trailer, you can see what happens when Kratos finds himself under the hooves of a Stalker or between his jaws as he grabs him by the Dreki creature. The game will bring the Norse Saga to an end, as Kratos and Atreus will put an end to all the treacheries.
Even if God of War Ragnarok was delayed to 2022, it was worth waiting for some thorough news regarding the title. If you’re willing to check out the full interview with the developer, make sure you visit PlayStation’s official website.
