Intel is ready to tackle down the gaming industry stronger than ever. Intel will launch its own Graphics Processing Unit, Intel Arc, which brand will empower the gaming experience thanks to its enhanced hardware and software. Having competition that will shiver Nvidia and AMD’s next move is always good, and that is what’s coming. Intel Arc’s first batch of GPUs is ready to arrive under the codename “Alchemist” in Q1 2022.
Roger Chandler, head of Intel’s client GPU business, stated: “The launch of the Intel Arc brand and the reveal of future hardware generations signifies Intel’s deep and continued commitment to gamers and creators everywhere. We have teams doing incredible work to ensure we deliver first-class and frictionless experiences when these products are available early next year.”
To escort its announcement better, within Gameplay footage earlier today, the company has published a video in which it showcases Intel Arc’s high-performance graphics fidelity. Some of the games showcased in the video are PUBG, Subnautica Below Zero, Metro Exodus, Days Gone, Chivalry, and others. Below you can watch the video footage yourself.
The new Intel Arc GPU will support video scaling, and most importantly, real-time ray tracing. Furthermore, it will support an AI-accelerated super sampling to counter Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). It sounds like the most exciting technological advancement in the gaming industry will be properly attended by Intel, with a couple of surprises waiting in store.
Intel has revealed that there are three codenames for its Intel Arc generations, Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid, that are yet to be revealed in detail in the latter.
