Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica’s God of War (2018) has been one of the past decade’s most successful games. After the events of God of War III, you’re stranded through the Norse Realms, where Kratos goes on to live a new life. There, after slaughtering an entire pantheon of Gods, you’re tasked with something even harder – fatherhood!
It’s no doubt that God of War’s gameplay and combat mechanics are some of the best we’ve seen in years, along with a beautiful and epic story. Santa Monica confirmed today that a new free patch is coming to PS5 God of War players, and you’ll be able to run the game on 4K 60FPS! For whatever reason, there will be a setting to decrease your FPS, so it’s the same as what you’d get while playing on the PS4 Pro.
In the meantime, another God of War game is in the making, serving as the sequel for Kratos’ and Atreus’ unfinished story in Midgard. Titled “Ragnarok,” after the war to end all things, we definitely won’t get a shortage of epic Gods to kill.
