Netflix has teased a few pictures of Henry Cavill (Geralt) in his new Witcher armor and Freya Allan (Ciri) in a combat uniform. Geralt’s new armor looks a lot heavier than the previous one, having metal “abs,” bulkier shoulder plates, and a metal chest plate.
Ciri, however, does not get a new costume, but she also looks a lot more mature compared to the 1st Season. That’s all due to Freya Allan’s age, 18 now, but was a bit younger when filming Season 1.
Netflix has also made an official description of Season 2 recently, and it has confirmed that the show will start right from last season’s final battle against the Nilfgaardian army.
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
It looks like Geralt will be taking Ciri to the famous witcher keep of Kaer Morhen, which is also where the witcher School of the Wolf is/was centered. However, it looks like things start tragically from the start, as Geralt doesn’t know if Yennefer is alive and believes she’s dead.
Ciri will undergo combat and monster training in Kaer Morhen, being taught by Geralt and Vesemir (Geralt’s teacher and closest friend, who was also confirmed to feature in The Witcher’s 2nd Season).
