The long-awaited cross-play feature in Apex Legends is getting closer to its release date. People have been waiting for Apex Legends to include this feature for a long-time after it was promised back in June 2020. It will be fascinating to get this feature and see Apex Legends build new friendships among different platforms. Not to mention, I have a friend that plays Apex Legends on PS4, and with me on PC gives us no room to connect and enjoy playing this Battle Royale sensation together.
When is Apex Legends’ Cross-Play beta coming?
The cross-play was announced as an addition to an upcoming update scheduled to arrive on October 6. Therefore, the cross-play will come on October 6 and enable players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC to play together. During this period, the cross-play functionality will have a critical role in its official release, as Respawn Entertainment will be collecting data regarding its functionality.
Similar to Modern Warfare, players will be able to filter and add and invite friends by platform and name. This will contribute to an easier match. The invitation will differ based on if it’s coming from another platform or not. If it isn’t then it will remain as so far. The cross-play feature in Apex Legends will have a built-in voice chat, allowing players on different platforms to communicate.
The fight between PC, Xbox One, and PS4 users will finally begin, and we expect to see many hot topics regarding aim assist in the coming period.
