Apex Legends Update 9/3/25 fixes notification errors on PC

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts issued a brief update on 9/3/25, clarifying that some notifications were sent in error. The message confirms those alerts were incorrect and that inventories remained intact, so players won’t lose any collectibles they already own.

According to the announcement, a subset of accounts received duplicate or erroneous item notifications. No items were removed. Respawn said the alerts were sent in error and no inventory changes occurred, so account contents remain intact even if the notification suggested otherwise, which should stop players from panicking. Read the full note in the official Steam announcement.

Players do not need to take action; the note applies to users on PC via Steam and likely other platforms receiving the same alerts. Monitoring for follow-up posts is reasonable, and the developer will post additional details if anything changes.
