City of Dalaran is beneath and inside the restored city in Alterac, but its exterior sewer approach is marked on the Silverpine Forest map. That distinction matters if you are following coordinates rather than simply heading towards Dalaran's skyline.
Location at a Glance
- Zone: Silverpine Forest
- Level guidance: 28-33
- Version: World of Warcraft: Forever
How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel towards Dalaran and its exterior sewer approach on the eastern side of Silverpine Forest.
- Use approximately 69.3, 45.6 on the Silverpine Forest map for the sewer entrance area and the Image of Archmage Modera.
- Confirm that someone can open the sewer gate, then enter together. Horde groups should arrange the Dalaran Sewer Key before making the trip.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Alliance players can approach from Southshore and pick up An Alarming Request from Emissary Jaques before continuing. Horde players begin their key preparation with Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill. The quest chain leads to Modera and the sewer access.
Before You Go
This is not the floating Dalaran from Northrend or the Broken Isles. Do not paste the Silverpine coordinates into an Alterac map, and do not assume that dungeon access also grants unrestricted access to every part of the open-world city.
At least one player needs a way to open the exterior gate for the group; every member does not necessarily need an individual key. Arrange that before inviting everyone to travel. The entrance guide covers the outside sewer approach, not the full route through the dungeon's sewers and city streets.
