Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Will Bring Edgerunners 2 Content on Oct. 22
CD Projekt Red will discuss cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle during a REDstreams episode on Oct. 21.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 arrives Oct. 22 as a free update for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 release will follow later. CD Projekt Red has confirmed cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle as part of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 tie-in.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 arrived on Netflix Oct. 20, two days before the game update. Promotional artwork pairs V with Weak Kingsley from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, showing V holding two pistols. The first Edgerunners tie-in added weapons, gear, and gigs. So far, Update 2.5’s announced features focus on cyberware and combat.
The dual-wielding playstyle addresses a limitation in Cyberpunk 2077: V has not been able to properly use two guns at once. Even Jackie Welles’ paired pistols become a one-handed weapon when V picks them up. CD Projekt Red has not yet detailed how the new style will work.
CD Projekt Red has scheduled a REDstreams episode for Oct. 21 at 5:00 p.m. CEST (4:00 p.m. BST, 11:00 a.m. ET, and 8:00 a.m. PT). The studio will discuss cyberware customization, dual-wielding, and other additions during the broadcast, which will air on its Twitch channel and the Cyberpunk YouTube channel.
