Pokémon GO’s week of October 19-25 opens with Minior’s in-game debut as the Orionid-themed event begins Monday. Palkia takes over Five-Star Raids midweek, while Morelull’s Spotlight Hour and Dynamax Sneasel’s Max Monday round out the schedule.
Minior arrives with the Orionid event
Minior Showers: Orionid begins at 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday, October 19, and runs through October 24 at 11:59 p.m. Only Green Core Minior will be available during the event, appearing in its Meteor Form in the wild. An October 3 game-file discovery covered all seven colors and their matching Meteor Forms but did not announce a debut date.

Minior will appear more frequently each day from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, with shooting stars also appearing in the game’s sky. Catching Green Core Minior awards 1,000 Stardust.

Minior changes form below half health
When its health falls below 50%, Minior will leave Meteor Form and expose its core. Meteor Form has higher Defense and lower Attack, while the exposed core has higher Attack and lower Defense.
The form change will initially work in Team GO Rocket battles, battles against team leaders, and the GO Battle League. Minior will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
Timed Research has an earlier deadline
Free Timed Research starts with a Star Piece claim reward, followed by five tasks that each require using a Star Piece. Each task row shows 7,740 Stardust, which adds up to 38,700, while the overall rewards panel displays 77,400 Stardust. The listed research deadline is Saturday, October 24, at 5:00 p.m. local time, earlier than the event’s 11:59 p.m. end.
The Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek event ends Monday at 8:00 p.m. local time. Its final hours offer one last chance to finish the event’s research and explore its Bramblin debut.
