Albion Online Plans a 1v1 Arena Return and a Seasonal Overhaul
The Arena will run throughout the next Guild Season, while the broader changes are planned for early 2027.

Albion Online will bring back its 1v1 Arena for the next Guild Season, while a broader revamp of seasons and challenges is planned for early 2027. Sandbox Interactive shared both plans in its October 16 Dev Talk on Steam.
Dragonfire changes continue after launch
Since Dragonfire launched on Aug. 31, players have explored the Ancient Lands and the Dragon Sanctuary. Regaro and his party also scored the world-first kill of Azaryon, the Fire Dragon.
Player feedback has led to changes aimed at making the Ancient Lands easier to reach. Small portals in Yellow Zones are now permanently available, with slightly reduced rewards. Small portals in Lethal Zones remain unchanged, keeping their higher-risk option intact. A new Item Freeze rule protects items brought into the areas, so only loot acquired inside can be lost.
The Dragon Sanctuary is still receiving adjustments to its difficulty and rewards. The team is evaluating its challenge level, while Drake Egg drop rates in higher-tier dungeons are another focus. Open-world dragons in the Outlands now grant significantly more loot and Might.
The Arena returns with the next Guild Season
The 1v1 Arena will be available throughout the next Guild Season. Players can use it to test builds and compete in one-on-one PvP.

Seasons will bring guilds and other challenges together
Guild Seasons currently matter most to players focused on competitive guild play. The Adventurer’s Challenge, Conqueror’s Challenge, and Faction Warfare campaign run alongside them with separate rules, schedules, and rewards. The planned update aims to bring those systems into a clearer shared progression, with objectives that are easier to follow and track.
Guild competition will remain part of the season, but players won’t have to take part in it to join the broader progression. The team also wants meaningful goals to be available across different activities throughout each season.

Future seasons could add activities, world changes, or special challenges inspired by the Keeper Uprising, giving each season its own identity. Not every season will include a large event. The reward system may also let players choose which rewards to pursue first, rather than following one fixed progression path.
