A multi-map story chapter that calls for three Hideout crafts, several Found in Raid documents and a 5,000,000 Rouble handover to Mechanic.

0 2 4 minutes read

The Unheard sends you across Streets of Tarkov, The Lab, Factory and Shoreline, with an optional activation-note location on Ground Zero. Prepare for three Intelligence Center level 1 crafts and a 5,000,000 Rouble payment to Mechanic before the chapter’s final apartment investigation.

Requirements and Objectives

To begin, pick up and read Note with ramblings about the Purification at one of the following locations:

In the surveillance room inside the TerraGroup security post building on Streets of Tarkov.
In the TerraGroup office on Streets of Tarkov. The note is on a cabinet beside the meeting room door.
In office no. 4 on the second floor of the TerraGroup main building on Ground Zero, in the Level 21+ version of the map. This location requires the TerraGroup science office key.

The chapter’s objectives then cover TerraGroup documents and a special shipment, Rzhevsky’s car, A.P.’s records and belongings, a paid flash-drive decryption, and the investigation of A.P.’s apartment. The walkthrough below follows that progression.

Needed Equipment and Hideout Work

TerraGroup science office key: Needed only if you use the Ground Zero activation-note location.
TerraGroup storage room keycard: Required to enter the document room in Factory’s underground tunnels.
TerraGroup corporate apartment key: Found in A.P.’s Health Resort room and needed to enter the apartment on Streets of Tarkov.
Intelligence Center level 1: Needed to craft the Hard drive printout, the Decrypted Sliderkey flash drive marked with A.P., and the Reprogrammed keycard for A.P.’s apartment lock (Green).
5,000,000 Roubles: Hand these over to Mechanic alongside the decrypted flash drive.

Keep electricity on throughout the Hard drive printout and decrypted flash-drive crafts or those processes will be interrupted.

Quest items marked Found in Raid

Collect 1 of each of the following items with Found in Raid status.

Document on changes in enterprise interactions, Cargo transport fax and Transport log with notes.
Hard drive from Rzhevsky’s car, Fuel catalyst test report and Burnt document.
A.P. meeting audio tape Part 1, A.P. meeting audio tape Part 2 and Sliderkey flash drive marked with A.P.
Order from TerraGroup Worldwide headquarters, Copy of report for TG Worldwide, Document mentioning a protocol and Document mentioning the Warden.
The optional Guard post note and Fragment of an unknown document.

The crafted printout, decrypted flash drive, apartment key and green keycard do not need Found in Raid status. Neither does the 5,000,000 Rouble payment.

How to Complete The Unheard

1. Read the activation note

Choose 1 of the 3 activation locations and read the Note with ramblings about the Purification. The two Streets of Tarkov locations avoid the TerraGroup science office key requirement for the Ground Zero option.

Main TerraGroup science building east of Skyside on Ground Zero, marked as one optional activation-note location. — One activation-note option is TerraGroup’s science office on Ground Zero. Office 4 is on the 2nd floor and requires the TerraGroup science office key and access to the level 21+ version of Ground Zero. The highlight locates the main building, not an exact desk or indoor route.

Two alternative activation-note locations on opposite sides of Primorsky Avenue, at Cardinal's security post and the TerraGroup office. — The 2 Streets activation-note options are the security post on Cardinal’s eastern edge and the TerraGroup office across Primorsky Avenue. Choose 1 activation-note location; visiting both is not required. The highlights identify the buildings or wings, not exact furnishings.

2. Collect the TerraGroup documents and shipment log

On The Lab, pick up and read both required documents:

Document on changes in enterprise interactions: Beside the computer screen in the first-floor laboratory next to the dome.
Cargo transport fax: On the low cabinet beside the safe in second-floor office O23.

Two-floor Lab map highlighting the document beside the dome, Lecture room tapes, office O23 fax and whiteboard, and admin R22 whiteboard. — The Lab first- and second-level locators for the document beside the dome, both meeting tapes, the O23 fax/whiteboard, and the alternative R22 whiteboard. One whiteboard is required; both tapes are required.

On Factory, search the ground floor of the main production hall, east of the central row of large vats. The Transport log with notes is on a yellow barrel beside the small broken opening in the floor and a blue industrial tank. Pick it up and read it.

Factory ground-floor locator highlighting the transport-log barrel east of the small floor opening in the southeast main hall. — Factory ground-floor transport-log location on the yellow barrel beside the floor opening. This is separate from the underground storage room.

3. Find Rzhevsky’s hard drive and make its printout

On Streets of Tarkov, locate Rzhevsky’s service vehicle near the LexOs car dealership. The Hard drive from Rzhevsky’s car is on the center console. It needs Found in Raid status.

Back in the Hideout, craft the Hard drive printout at Intelligence Center level 1, keeping electricity on throughout the process or the craft will be interrupted. Read the finished printout from your off-raid quest inventory to complete the transcript objective.

Check the center console for the hard drive.

4. Search Factory’s TerraGroup storage room

Use the TerraGroup storage room keycard to enter the storage room in Factory’s underground tunnels, beside the Camera Bunker Door Scav extraction. Find and read the Fuel catalyst test report and Burnt document. Both need Found in Raid status. Check these pickup spots inside the same room:

Fuel catalyst test report: On the bookshelf beside the door, or on the safe beside the table.
Burnt document: On the table, or on the metal shelf on the right.

Factory tunnel map highlighting the small TerraGroup storage room west of the Camera Bunker Door landing and south of the central vat chamber. — Factory’s underground TerraGroup storage room is immediately west of the landing by Camera Bunker Door. Use the TerraGroup storage room keycard for access.

5. Find A.P.’s references on The Lab

Locate 1 of the 2 whiteboards, then pick up and listen to both audio tapes:

One whiteboard is in office O23. The other is in the admin office R22.
A.P. meeting audio tape Part 1 is in the lecture room on the stairs.
A.P. meeting audio tape Part 2 is in the lecture room on a desk beside a laptop.

You need 1 whiteboard and both tapes. The tapes need Found in Raid status.

6. Search A.P.’s Health Resort room

Go to room 305 in the east wing of the Health Resort on Shoreline. Pick up the Sliderkey flash drive marked with A.P. from the laptop and the TerraGroup corporate apartment key from the right nightstand.

The left nightstand has an optional Fragment of an unknown document. Another optional item, the Guard post note, is on a desk beside the security room at the southern entrance on the first floor of the west wing.

Health Resort map highlighting the east wing for A.P.'s room 305, with the west wing and admin building labelled. — Health Resort east-wing locator for A.P.’s room 305 on the third floor. The optional guard-post note is in the west wing, not this room.

7. Decrypt the flash drive and work with Mechanic

Craft the Decrypted Sliderkey flash drive marked with A.P. at Intelligence Center level 1. Electricity must stay on for the full process or the craft will be interrupted.

Use the trader screen to ask Mechanic for help. After the conversation, hand over 5,000,000 Roubles and the decrypted flash drive through the trader screen.

The wait for news depends on whether you have had contact with Mr. Kerman before. If you have not, wait 6 to 12 hours, then visit Mechanic through the trader screen. If you have had contact with Mr. Kerman before, wait an hour and a half for him to contact you, then speak with him.

8. Enter A.P.’s apartment and investigate the hidden room

Craft the Reprogrammed keycard for A.P.’s apartment lock (Green) at Intelligence Center level 1. The blue and red reprogrammed keycards are false leads for this objective.

On Streets of Tarkov, A.P.’s apartment is apartment 1 on the second floor of the Cardinal apartment complex. Use the TerraGroup corporate apartment key to enter. Continue down the hallway and use the green keycard to open the hidden room.

Pick up and read all four required documents in the room:

Order from TerraGroup Worldwide headquarters: On the floor beside the packages.
Copy of report for TG Worldwide: At the left end of the desk.
Document mentioning a protocol: On the pile of documents.
Document mentioning the Warden: At the right end of the desk.

Streets map highlighting the western Cardinal apartment wing north of Klimov Street, east of Expo parking and west of Primorsky Avenue. — A.P.’s apartment is in the western residential arm of the Cardinal complex, on the second floor in apartment 1. Bring the corporate apartment key and the green reprogrammed keycard for the hidden room.
