Escape From Tarkov “Shady Contractor” Quest Guide
Find the Knossos senior manager's diary in a car on Ground Zero, extract with it, then hand it over to Mechanic.
Shady Contractor sends you to Ground Zero for one item: the Knossos LLC senior manager’s diary. Find it inside the manager’s car near the car dealership, then extract with the diary before handing it over.
Requirements and objectives
The diary can only be found while Shady Contractor is active. It is a required quest item and must be found in raid.
- Locate the Knossos LLC senior manager’s car on Ground Zero.
- Locate and obtain the manager’s diary.
- Hand over the diary.
Equipment
No quest-specific equipment is listed. The diary transfers to your quest item inventory when picked up. If you fail to extract with it, you lose it.
How to complete Shady Contractor
- Start the quest before entering Ground Zero, since the diary only appears when the quest is active.
- Go to the car next to the car dealership and search inside. The diary has multiple possible spawn points, including the dashboard, driver’s seat and trunk.
- Pick up the diary and extract from the raid. A failed extraction means you will need to find the item again.
- Hand the diary over to Mechanic to complete the quest.
