Escape From Tarkov “Wiring the Vessel” Quest Guide

Repair three Icebreaker automation systems before installing the device. Two repair objectives are mislabeled in-game.

Wiring the Vessel sends you through three automation rooms aboard Icebreaker before you can install a Local network hacking device in the central control station room. Two repair objectives are swapped in-game, so use the rooms’ locations rather than relying on the displayed objective text.

Requirements and objectives

Peacekeeper gives the quest. You must repair three pieces of equipment on Icebreaker, then install one Local network hacking device. The install objective appears only after all three repairs are complete.

The repair objective for the automation room near the storage room and the one for the automation room under the engine room are incorrectly swapped in-game. Repairing one completes the other room’s displayed objective, and vice versa.

Neither item is listed as requiring found-in-raid status.

How to complete the quest

Wiring the Vessel Icebreaker map marking two Level 0 automation repairs, the Level minus 3 under-engine repair and the Level 0 control-station installation — Repair both Level 0 automation rooms and the Level -3 under-engine room, then install the hacking device at the Level 0 central control station. In-game objective labels may swap the near-storage and under-engine repairs.

Repair the equipment in the automation room leading to the engine room. This room is on Level 0. Use the Toolset on the equipment.
Repair the equipment in the automation room near the storage room. This room is also on Level 0. Because of the objective-label bug, this repair completes the displayed objective for the room under the engine room.
Repair the equipment in the automation room under the engine room. The room is on Level -3 and requires a code. Find the code on a pinboard in a nearby overseeing cabin, then enter it to access the room. The code changes every raid. Repairing the equipment here completes the displayed near-storage objective.
Install the Local network hacking device in the central control station room. The room is on Level 0. The objective becomes available after the three repairs. Placing the device removes it from your inventory.
