Escape From Tarkov “This Tape Sucks” Quest Guide

Find one Slaughter videotape in The Labyrinth, extract with it, then hand it over to Therapist.

This Tape Sucks hinges on getting one quest-only item out of The Labyrinth. Find the torture room, check the nearby videotape spawn points, and make it out with the evidence so you can hand it to Therapist.

Requirements and objectives

Therapist gives the quest. Offensive Reconnaissance is the preceding quest.

  • Locate the torture room inside The Labyrinth.
  • Locate and obtain one Slaughter videotape.
  • Hand over the videotape to Therapist.

Needed equipment

No quest-specific weapon, tool, or equipment is identified. The Slaughter videotape can only be found while the quest is active. Picking it up transfers it to your quest-item inventory, and the item is required to be found in raid.

How to complete This Tape Sucks

Labyrinth floor plan highlighting the This Tape Sucks quest room beside Ariadne's Path and south of the central chamber.
The highlighted room is the torture-room objective; search the nearby videotape spawn positions described in the guide.
  1. Enter The Labyrinth with the quest active and locate the torture room.
  2. Search the nearby videotape spawn points. The tape can appear under the door, in the wall opposite the room, in the hand of a dead Scav under the arch opposite the room, or on top of the bloody barrels beside that arch. The Scav body does not always appear, but the tape can still be at that location.
  3. Extract with the videotape and hand it over. If you fail to extract while carrying the quest item, you lose it. Once you have extracted with it, deliver it to Therapist to finish the hand-in objective.
