Escape From Tarkov “Getting Some Air” Quest Guide
Earn 40 RPDN eliminations on Shoreline, Lighthouse, or Reserve, with the required optic setup installed.

Getting Some Air is a 40-elimination weapon task with a strict map restriction. Only kills on Shoreline, Lighthouse, or Reserve count, and the RPDN must have a qualifying sight installed.
Requirements and objectives
Trader requirement Prapor loyalty level 4.
- Eliminate 40 targets with a Degtyarev RPDN 7.62×39 machine gun equipped with an Axion Kobra EKP-1S-03 reflex sight on Shoreline, Lighthouse, or Reserve.
Equipment needed
Prapor provides one RPDN, noted as modified to meet the task requirements. The standard sight specified for the objective is the Axion Kobra EKP-1S-03.
You can also use a canted reflex sight setup. Fit the RPD DS Arms Railed Handguard and an NcSTAR MPR45 Backup mount, then install a compact reflex sight on the canted mount. That setup can count instead of the EKP-1S-03. The sight must be installed on the weapon for kills to count.
How to complete Getting Some Air
- Take the supplied RPDN, or use another RPDN fitted with the required sight setup.
- Play Shoreline, Lighthouse, or Reserve and eliminate targets with the RPDN.
- Continue until the objective reaches 40 eliminations.
Kills on other maps do not meet the objective. The quest specifies targets generally, without limiting the objective to a particular target type.
