Dead by Daylight 10.2.1 Changes How Bot-Filled Trials Can End
The patch also adjusts The Mastermind's Virulent Bound and documents Haunted by Daylight, which began October 13.

Dead by Daylight’s 10.2.1 patch changes when a human Survivor or Killer can end a bot-filled Trial. The last human Survivor can choose Surrender when at least one bot remains, and Killers can end a Trial once every remaining Survivor is a bot. The 10.2.1 Steam notes also cover a Killer HUD change, an adjustment to The Mastermind’s Virulent Bound, and a long list of bug fixes.
The revisions follow the 10.2.0 update’s Trial exit rules. That version offered Surrender when all Survivors were in the Dying State and let the Killer end a Trial when all remaining Survivors were bots in the Dying State. Version 10.2.1 changes the Survivor condition and removes the Dying State requirement for the Killer.

Event
- The Haunted By Daylight event has started on Tuesday, October 13th, at 11:00am Eastern.
Haunted by Daylight removes the Void Tile from previous years, but Void Portals and Void Haunts appear in every Trial. Portals connect in pairs, and opening a Void Rift creates another pair that stays open for the rest of the Trial. Roaming Haunts search the map for Survivors and Hinder them.
Both roles can gather Void Energy and use it as soon as they have enough for an Event Ability, without crafting in the Void. Survivors begin with Void Crystals, which let them drop Smoke Bombs or place a crystal on a Generator to repair it remotely. Portals can provide a large amount of Void Energy, though a Killer can teleport directly to one. Killers can launch Void Haunts and use Empowered Breaks to kick faster.
