Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Hotfix 15.1 Raises Thunder Hammer Damage
The One Handed Thunder Hammer gets a 10% base-damage increase, and the standard Melta Rifle's default ammo pool rises to 12.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2‘s Hotfix 15.1 notes on Steam give the One Handed Thunder Hammer a 10% base-damage increase, with larger boosts for several of its attacks. The notes also adjust Melta Rifle and Heavy Melta Rifle damage falloff, fix Crucible and Chaos Siege bugs, and add a brief invulnerability window after knockback.

GAMEPLAY AND BALANCING TWEAKS
Melee in PvE
One Handed Thunder Hammer Patch 15.0 introduced the One Handed Thunder Hammer and Crucible mode on October 1, before the weapon received these balance changes in the Patch 15.0 update.
- Base damage is increased by 10%.
- Temporary removed forced stagger from charging stances.
It will return in the next patch, once we make it less spammable.
- Underhand Swing damage is increased by 67%.
- Echoing Swing waves damage is increased by 100%.
- Energised Strike damage is increased by 100% and damage radius is increased by 50%.
- Improved controls responsiveness after Energised Strikes.
- Charged attacks damage is increased by 25%. Greatly improved cleave.
One Handed Thunder Hammer Perks
- Charge Overflow: Duration is increased to 20 seconds.
- Rapid Recharge: Cooldown is decreased to 15 seconds.
- Deflective Charge: Cooldown is decreased to 20 seconds.
- Reverberating Slam: Fixed an issue that the second hit sometimes doesn’t deal proper damage and not affected by perks.
- Perfect Reprisal: Now affects all Light Attacks for its 7 second duration, not the first one.
- Preparedness and Brutal Reforge: Are now triggered only by One Handed Hammer kills, rather than while the One Handed Hammer is equipped.
Heroic One Handed Thunder Hammer – Power Maul
- Damage bonus for each charge is increased to 30%.
Firearms in PvE
Melta Rifle
- Standard-Issue version and all non range-specialized versions: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 5 to 3 meters.
- Default max ammo pool is increased by 2 (now 12).
- Default magazine size is increased by 1 (now 6).
- Magazine size and max ammo pool is increased by 1 for Master-Crafted – Beta, Drogos Reclamation – Alpha and Ophelian Liberation – Alpha versions.
- Master-Crafted – Alpha version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 2.5 to 5 meters.
- Salvation of Bakka version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 3 to 5 meters.
- Gathalamor Crusade version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 3.5 to 5 meters
Heavy Melta Rifle
- Standard-Issue version and all non range-specialized versions: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 2 to 3 meters.
- Master-Crafted – Alpha version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 3 to 6 meters.
- Salvation of Bakka version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 4 to 6 meters.
- Gathalamor Crusade version: Damage fall off distance start point is changed from 5 to 6 meter.
Pickups
- Fixed an unintended consequence of a previous bug fix concerning relics spawn outside of the playable area which made relic spawns became more deterministic on higher difficulty levels.
- Fix also affects low spawn rate pickups such as Geneseed, which should not spawn outside of the playable area on levels that have branching paths anymore.
CRUCIBLE
- Fixed a bug where a previously selected Operation and difficulty would affect the Crucible Mode.
- Added a “Not Enough Penances” notification if too few penances are selected.
- Fixed a bug where “Guardian Glyph” Penance would not revive a player affected by the “Curse of the Warp” Penance.
- Fixed a bug where “Pandemonium” Penance did not increase the Majoris enemy type spawn rate in some cases.
- “Pandemonium” Penance value is adjusted from 15% to 25%.
- Fixed a bug where “Madness” Penance did not increase the number of enraged Majoris enemies in some cases.
- Fixed a bug where a player below Level 25 could enter a Crucible mission when two Level 25 players entered the ready zone;
- “Quick Match” window is updated to display “Bonus Crucible XP” and “Crucible XP” separately.
- “Corruptive Miasma” Penance is disabled during certain boss sequences like Heldrake and Hierophant.
CHAOS SIEGE MODE
- Fixed a bug where players could take damage from friendly chaos portals.
- Summonable Hellbrute melee damage has been decreased by 30%.
- Fixed several issues with weapons not using Chaos skins in Chaos Siege.
- Loyalist Marines are much more effective in killing cultists in Chaos Siege.
CUSTOMISATION
- Fixed an issue with hoods not being recolourable.
- Fixed an issue with certain robes not being recolourable.
- Fixed an issue where cloth customization did not save between restarts.
- Lots of minor fixes and improvements.
QUALITY OF LIFE
- Added a small invulnerability window when the player rises up from knockback.
GENERAL FIXES
- Fixed: Auspex Scan buffs Gunstrike damage by default without any perks, behavior restored to patch 14.2.
- Fixed a bug with the Heroic Bolt Rifle’s Melta shot dealing different amounts of damage compared to the primary slot when equipped in the secondary slot using the “Tactical Reserve” perk.
- PvP: Fixed a bug with Abilities for all classes, including the Helbrute, recharge twice as fast as intended in some cases.
- Fixed a bug with the “Elusive Fire” perk not working with Heroic Melta-rifle.
- Fixed a bug where some Chaos Space Marine voiceovers were unprocessed in Chaos Siege.
- Campaign: Fixed a bug where players could spawn without the Thunder Hammer in the campaign mission Dawn’s Descent.
- Lots of minor UI and localization fixes.
- Crash fixes and general stability improvements.
