7 Days to Die V3.3.0 Brings Its 96-Slot Backpack System to Stable
The release also fixes vehicle pickup and weapon reload bugs, while its known-issues list includes campfire, Mac, and inventory problems.

7 Days to Die V3.3.0 is now on the Stable branch, bringing its bigger backpack system and a batch of inventory and server fixes to the main release, as detailed in the Steam release notes.
V3.3.0 EXP had already introduced the bigger backpack system, and Stable carries that change into the main release. The standard inventory grid is 8×6, or 48 slots: four rows are free to use, while two rows are encumbered. That adds three slots over the legacy 9×5 grid.
Backpacks come in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, each with six quality levels. Equipping one in the new Backpack slot can expand the inventory to 96 slots in an 8×12 grid. The Pack Mule perk and Armor Pocket Mods can remove the encumbrance from those added slots.
Beyond the inventory overhaul, V3.3.0 fixes a dedicated-server issue that could let players pick up vehicles without properly checking their contents. It also addresses weapons becoming bugged if their owner died while reloading, equipment duplication after death, inventory sounds playing twice when moving item stacks, and a rare save-system deadlock. Changes to loading and respawn handling add timeouts for some conditions that could leave players stuck.
Some known issues have workarounds. Items must be moved to a backpack before they can be consumed from a Campfire. If a bow, crossbow, or knuckle item floats after switching from third-person to first-person, changing the active toolbelt slot in first-person fixes it. The notes also flag Mac connection and language-setting problems, along with several other inventory and perk issues.
