World of Tanks 2.4.1 Brings Nebelburg to Random Battles and Updates 5 Other Maps

Nebelburg shrinks from 1,400 m × 1,400 m to 1,000 m × 1,000 m as five other maps receive tactical adjustments.

World of Tanks Update 2.4.1 brings Nebelburg from Grand Battles to Random Battles, with a smaller battlefield and redesigned routes. Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Siegfried Line, Fisherman’s Bay, and Overlord also receive map adjustments, as detailed in Wargaming’s Update 2.4.1 map overview.

Nebelburg’s footprint drops from 1,400 m × 1,400 m to 1,000 m × 1,000 m. The redesign adds cover and terrain changes for different vehicle roles, from heavy tanks contesting the castle to faster vehicles scouting across the map.

The castle approach around lines 2 and 3 has new cover and terrain folds, with the area intended to support varied engagements and suit all vehicle types, especially heavies. An island across D4–D5 and E3–E5 gives light and medium tanks a spot to scout early and help either the castle or village flank. The village at F6–G7, meanwhile, offers a way to control the center and support other lanes.

Tank destroyers gain positions near the southwest capture circle at H4–H5 and the northeast circle at E7–F8, both intended to cover allies and control the middle. Dense vegetation and varied terrain across H7–J0 give light and medium tanks more options in the hills. Terrain along lines H–J and A–B has also been adjusted to open different routes as battles reach their later stages.

Five other maps get targeted adjustments

Fisherman’s Bay gets new positions and cover across its flanks. Vegetation is reduced in some areas and increased along the southern team’s approach to the city blocks. At Siegfried Line, the fields beside town have reshaped terrain, while new dents and breaches in the town wall create additional firing lanes.

Himmelsdorf adds a town position for the southern team to counter an opposing position. Ruinberg’s urban area receives smaller changes to firing lanes and angles, while Overlord’s adjustments focus on side balance, mainly improving the northern team’s positions.
