Vitality moved into the 2-0 pool at ESL Pro League Season 24 after beating NAVI on day two. The win gives Vitality a chance to secure a playoff place against Falcons on Monday, Oct. 5.
The teams traded victories on their opponents’ map picks before Mirage decided the series. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut’s 1v4 clutch helped Vitality take control of the decider and finish the job.
Vitality and Falcons are scheduled to play at 18:30 on Oct. 5. Their last meeting was in the IEM Cologne Major quarterfinals, where Falcons edged out a series win across three 13-11 maps. The other 2-0 matchup pairs Spirit with MOUZ at 16:00. Spirit has gone 32-0 in Swiss group stages since losing to FURIA in its opening match at the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
M80 stayed alive in ESL Pro League by eliminating TYLOO 2-1. After giving up a 9-5 lead on Mirage and losing the map 10-13, M80 recovered with a 13-7 win on Cache and closed the series on Anubis, 13-8. slaxz- averaged a 1.57 rating across the match.
A loss to BETBOOM had put M80 in the 0-2 pool before this elimination match. M80 now moves into the 1-2 pool alongside PARIVISION and G2, while TYLOO’s ESL Pro League run is over. Both teams had already secured a place at the Singapore event, but the loss set back TYLOO’s bid for a direct Stage 2 invite. NAVI, meanwhile, drops into the 1-1 pool.
