PlayStation fan RealRadec said on October 3, 2026, that his account had been hacked and its email address changed. He said he repeatedly tried to log in and change his password, signed out of all devices, and re-enabled two-factor authentication, but the email change still went through. His post did not identify how the attacker gained access.
My PlayStation account has been hacked. After trying to log in and change my password multiple times, sign out of all devices, re-enable 2FA, nothing worked. They still managed to change my proper email address for my account
Idk what to do

A similar account-security concern surfaced in May, when Sacred Symbols host Colin Moriarty’s account was compromised and later recovered. A potential recovery weakness involving a PSN username, its associated email address, and either a transaction ID or purchase date. RealRadec did not say whether any of those details played a role in his case, so the available information does not connect the two incidents to the same method.
A compromised account can put access to a purchased game library and trophy history at risk, not just the ability to sign in. RealRadec’s post adds another account of a takeover, but does not explain what happened behind the scenes or how the recovery process failed.
